Details

2018 marks the 75th anniversary of the introduction of the PDSA Dickin Medal, honouring the work of animals in war. This February half-term we are looking at the extraordinary stories of four Dickin Medal recipients, Simon, Beauty, GI Joe and War Horse Warrior.

Young visitors can pay tribute to our special heroes by making their own animal finger puppet, or they can pay tribute to their own pet by designing and creating a special salt dough animal hero medal.

Has your pet been a good friend, were they there when you needed them or have they done something brave?

Come along to the National Memorial Arboretum this February half-term. Celebrate your amazing fury friend by learning about four of ours.
